Dissonant Dreams

Helle Robertson is the traditionally trained men's tailor and pattern cutter turned fashion designer, who became interested in sustainability issues and eventually got obsessed with rational use of resources.



Helle is today behind both the environmentally smart fashion brand Robert&Blad as well as ROBERTSON ReDESIGN, where you can find both garments, interior design and lifestyle products made from upcycled materials. The starting point is what a discarded material can become, not what it has been. Among the things Helle sets out to save from the trash are raw materials as diverse as fruit, books, textiles and candles. And then this is just the beginning...



In addition, Helle tries to save the world by inspiring, teaching, lecturing and providing various services in the name of sustainability. Helle and all her endeavors are based in Malmö.

A jack of all trades

I find limitation inspiring and appreciates the small details that catches the eye. I started working with vintage fabrics and exploring how to bring them to life again early on. Since then my creativity has taken different paths, like photography and film. That has resulted in a bachelor's degree in Visual communication at Malmö University. Nowadays you can find me at Remake, Skånes Stadsmission or with the camera at the ready!
