Fashion (going) Forward
"Dissonance is a state of imbalance – a feeling that something is not right." This, this is the state of fashion as we know it, there is a distinct dissonance between the natural world and the world of fashion. How can both worlds co-exist? Can they co-exist? Can we enjoy fashion and care for the world at the same time? Can we solve fashions´ issues through..fashion? In a series of collages fashion designer Pernilla Greek explores and juxtaposes the very different and often dissonant areas within fashion. "Dissonance is abrasive and creates mixed emotions. At the same time, dissonance can spark creativity and the desire to drive change." This, this is what needs to happen, letting the dissonance spark our creativity and our desire to drive change.
