Kasthall - Where Quality and Recycling Take Center Stage

Kasthall_Flaghship Store & Showroom_Malmo

Designing for a sustainable future

Since 1889, Kasthall has been producing exquisite rugs and textile floors in its factory in Kinna, southeast of Gothenburg. Kasthall is now a global industry leader, working with architects and designers all over the world to create elegant designs.

High-quality materials, timeless design, and strong craftsmanship are three of the company's pillars, with a focus on sustainability to minimize waste; all rugs are made to order and tailored to customers’ specific needs, avoiding overproduction. Kasthall also maintains complete control of the manufacturing process by handling preparation, production, and post-production in-house or with local suppliers.

Kasthall will demonstrate its commitment to sustainability at the Malmö Flagship Store during this year's Southern Sweden Design Days. Two rugs, Harvest and Flourish designed by Ellinor Eliasson at Kasthall Design Studio, will be on display. The award-winning woven Harvest and hand-tufted Flourish, both made from leftover yarns, exemplify Kasthall's commitment to reducing waste while producing high-quality products.

Tufted rugs have long been a popular addition to home interiors, and Kasthall is excited to offer visitors the opportunity to discover the art of hand-tufting during SSDD at the Malmö Flagship Store. Thursday and Friday visitors can try out hand-tufting and learn the ins and outs of this timeless craft.
