Exhibition

In:Tangible

In:Tangible

In:Tangible brings together 27 designers and design researchers in a joint exhibition with a focus on future design practice.

The exhibition is an extension of the Formgivarpodden, which since autumn 2020 has published conversations with a range of designers, design institutions and design researchers in various disciplines on topics that affect design in various ways. The initiators, producers and curators are Karin Olu Lind and Kajsa Willnergård, who generally runs the Formgivarpodden and both are practicing designers themselves. With In:Tangible, they want to further investigate and visualize the complexity within contemporary Scandinavian design practice.

Who or who will shape our future? What is relevant to design today and for whom should we design?

Designers and artists are thinkers, researchers and creative practitioners who have the ability to make the intangible tangible. By not locking themselves into fixed expectations, but by openly exploring alternative theoretical and physical ways of thinking and working, they have opportunities to act as catalysts for change.

In:Tangible shows objects and objects which are presented together with a text written by the originator. These texts highlight in different ways the thoughts of the authors and individual perspectives on the issue of the design of the future and the possibility of designers to influence our common future.

"The exhibition can be seen as a sketchy design manifesto in both physical and theoretical form, where each individual creative idea is part of a common whole" say Karin Olu Lindgård and Kajsa Willner and continue "As a visitor, you get an insight into different design methods and approaches, but you can also sense collective currents and a common belief in design as a catalyst for change."

In:Tangible show at Form/Design Center April 1 - May 28.
